As we conclude the 2024/2025 Fall Semester and celebrate the success of our 5th Annual Christmas program, we are filled with gratitude for another incredible semester at FAHC. Students and parents came together to create a semester packed with learning, growth and unforgettable memories!
Highlights from Fall Semester 2024/2025
This semester our enrichment classes offered students the opportunity to explore new topics, develop valuable skills, and discover their passions. From learning all about energy in science classes to diving into practical life skills like Plumbing Basics, every week was full of hands-on fun and learning.
Some of the classes this semester included:
- American Sign Language (ASL): Students were introduced to ASL through fun activities and games. Our 4th grade ASL class also performed Away In A Manger in ASL at our Christmas program.
- Intro To Spanish: Students explored the basics of Spanish through games, conversations and movement! They celebrated the end of the semester with a fiesta, complete with “walking tacos”.
- Plumbing Basics: Middle-High students learned the basics of plumbing through a hands-on class that included working on a real toilet! One of our students even put their new skills to work over Thanksgiving break, successfully fixing a family member’s broken toilet-a proud moment for both student and teacher!
At FAHC you never know what new skills or talents you’ll uncover. With parents sharing their passions and expertise in weekly classes, there’s always something exciting to learn!
In addition to our weekly classes, the FAHC community also enjoyed fun field trips! Our annual trip to Jeter Mountain Farms proved to be a grand adventure, just a few short weeks after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Jeter Farms welcomed us with smiling faces and open arms, allowing an entire day at the far just for our group! Members of FAHC shared a little extra love this year at the farm, grabbing up an extra coffee or 2 in addition to apples and spending a little extra shopping money in the farm Market.
A Magical Christmas Program: The Case of the Mysterious Box
We wrapped up the Fall Semester with our 5th Annual Christmas program, which was a true celebration of creativity, hard work and teamwork. This year, students of FAHC took guests on an exciting detective adventure with The Case of the Mysterious Box.
Through great detective skills and a little Christmas magic, the Junior Detectives uncovered that the mysterious box pointed to the greatest gift of all, Jesus! From the captivating performances to the beautifully sung choir pieces, every aspect of the program showcased the talent and dedication of our students and program team.
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who made this production possible:
- Our Junior Detectives, choir members, narrators, ballet teachers and students, and nativity cast for bringing the story to life.
- The production team and directors for their creativity and leadership.
- The parents and volunteers for their support behind the scenes.
Your hard work and commitment made this program a highlight of the semester, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together!
As we wrap up the fall semester, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to every member of our community who dedicates their time and energy to making our classes, events, trips and programs both successful and unforgettable for our students. It’s the passion and commitment of our members that make our community truly exceptional. We can’t wait to kick off the spring semester with you all soon!
